All Time Wettest December on Record for Savannah

The showers just keep on falling. After Friday's significant rain across the area... we broke the all time wettest december on record for the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. And we still have eleven more days left in the month... with another rain maker expected to come in for late this week.

The record breaking rain has been thanks in part to influences from the moderate to strong El Nino that is ongoing over the Pacific Ocean.

Above normal precipitation is expected to continue for the next few months as el nino conditions persist.

Below are the top five wettest Decembers on record for the Savannah Airport.
