Rising gaspricesdon’t have to spoil your day. Do you have the power to pedal , carpool , or walk to work?  A handful of Savannah agencies including The Savannah Development and Renewal authority and businesses are the driving force behind dump the pump….leave your car at home day.  The goal- raise awareness about saving gas, avoiding traffic,

getting exercise,  and curbing pollution.  People who live in downtown savannah or travel there for work, school, shopping, or diners are urged to  participate.

Dump The Pump is set for April 18th.

Chatham Area Transit will cut it’s regular dollar fare to 25 cents for passengers boarding with a bicycle.  You can pickup maps that specify bicycle lanes, bike racks, and free shuttle routes at several locations.  Maps will be available at The Bicycle Link at 408 MLK, Islands Bikes & Boards at 14 West State Street, and Coastal Scooter at 645 East Broughton
