AAA Predicts Gas Prices Will Drop

»  Comments | Post a Comment

While gas prices have gone up the past few days -- AAA predicts further increases are unlikely.

The travel agency cites a report from the Energy Information Administration indicating that crude oil inventories have declined more than twice the amount expected. The report predicts prices could jump several dollars nearing the $100 per barrel mark.

But, warmer than normal winter weather coupled with forecasts of a slowing economy, will push prices down.

Right now the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.03 per gallon.

In Georgia, the average price is $2.98. WSAV.com checked prices around Savannah – A Sam's Club was the cheapest at $2.93 per gallon.

Elsewhere prices range around $3.09 per gallon.
