The CES show is all about introducing the public to electronic gizmos to make their lives a little easier. Now some of this stuff is not on the market, some of this stuff is like this touchless trashcan that used infrared sensors so you never have to get your hands dirty, biometric door lock, touchless infrared papertowel dispenser.
The CES show is a gadget and gizmo lover's delight.
You can find pretty much anything from robots that walk, clean, crawl, and dance... to practical items like the Tankchair, developed by a man who's wife didn't want to give up camping after becoming paralyzed.
And don't forget video cameras of every kind, like the Vievu, a five-ounce personal camera clips on your shirt and records your life, four hours at a time.
Steve Ward, of Vievu, says, "say your a business man and you've got meetings you have to document and you generally take notes. Now you can actually take video record of that business meeting. Say you are a consumer and you've got a home birthday party that you are filming with your children, and you don't want the obtrusion of a video camera that you have to hand hold. You just attach this turn it on and you've got the whole birthday party."
The Consumer Electronics Show continues in Las Vegas through January 10th.
