Wall Street Ends the Week on a High Note

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Wall Street closed out a wild week on a high note. That's partly thanks to new President-elect Barack Obama?s plans to name New York Federal Reserve President Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary.

All three major indexes jumped more than 5 %. The Dow alone surged nearly 500 points. That erases about half of the steep losses from Wednesday and Thursday.
