Drive Media Company of Georgia, LLC finished construction of its first billboard in the state November 19, 2009. The new structure is visible to travelers along I-95 north and south. The ninety-six foot structure is located adjacent to the southbound exit ramp for US 80 in Pooler.
Drive Media has installed four display faces on the billboard. A three-display, tri-vision billboard will be visible to travelers heading towards Savannah going north on I-95. Southbound travelers will have visibility a single 20’ x 50’ display. “We are very happy to complete our first billboard in the state,” Drive Media’s co-owner, Dwight Eby, said. “We have aggressive expansion plans in the state and the entire southeast area, but you have to get the first one behind you and we have achieved that goal.”
Over 70,000 vehicles pass by the new billboard on I-95 between U.S. 80 and Airways Ave., based upon 2007 Georgia DOT traffic counts. “The traffic count in the area is significant and was a determining factor in our decision to construct the billboard at the permitted location,” Eby added. “Even in a bad economy, companies are advertising and want to reach significant audiences. With our plans to give our initial advertisers low costs per thousand impressions (CPM), added exposure on our web site with direct clicks to the advertisers’ web sites, and our personal service, we are confident we can help our advertisers increase their business.”
