Dentistry from the Heart - Howard Dental Group's Gift to All

Pooler, Ga (Friday, November 20, 2009) – On this day starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM, the Howard Dental Group wants to spread goodwill and cheer to the local community with its first annual Dentistry From The Heart event. Dentistry From The Heart is an annual Thanksgiving gift of free dental services to the first 200 people who show up at its Pooler Family Dental practice.

Dr. John Howard, Founder of the Howard Dental Group, is organizing this event by coordinating the efforts of eight of its general dentists and ten dental hygienists. “We spend the rest of the year simply running traditional dental practices,” Dr Howard said. “One day is a pretty small thing but we think it makes a difference in the lives of the people who come to us for help.”

“Dentistry From The Heart is a way of giving thanks for our own successes,” Dr. Howard said. “We encourage other dental practices to join us in this effort in subsequent years.” Local oral surgeons Dr. Frank Scarbrough and Dr. Michael Wilson and their staff have offered to lend their services and support for Dr. Howard during the event, to treat the many people who need it.

The Howard Dental Group’s goodwill has spread to the local, non-dental community too. Medical supply companies, local restaurants, and others will donate their time and goods to the Dentistry From The Heart cause.

The Howard Dental Group team will be delivering free cleanings, fillings, and simple extractions on Dentistry From The Heart day to relieve pain and fix other oral health problems. Patients who need ongoing care or have problems that cannot be fixed in one day are properly advised on other low cost dental health care providers.
