Thursday begins season six of "Last Comic Standing."
This time around, the show literally searched for the funniest person on the planet by holding auditions in 20 countries.
The comedians you'll see in season six of last comic standing took a long road to get here.
One contestant said, "Why do I think I can be the last comic standing? I think America’s ready for some changes. Because I’m 49 I have very strong quad muscles."
After weeding through line after line, country after country celebrity talent scouts hand-picked the finalists you'll see this summer.
Talent scout Kate Flannery said, "We had one woman dressed as mother goose with a live goose and Siamese twins in lederhosen. The women played the organ singing songs about tampons."
There was even a dancing unicorn although they didn't make the cut,
But even those who do make it have to prove themselves night after night until they're the last comic standing.
Bill Bellamy returns as host and he promises a rib-cracking good time.
Last comic standing airs every Thursday night, on NBC.
