Like most television series, NBC's "Heroes" had its season shortened by last winter's writers strike.
It's been off the air since early last December.
But, Monday night, "Heroes" returns for its third season
"Heroes" season three is off to a flying start.
"Really fast paced, lots of turns, lots of surprises people don't expect," said actor Masi Oka.
There are cliff hangers to resolve and new story lines to open.
This newest chapter is entitled "Villains".
"Yes, she is definitely a thief," said actress Brea Grant.
But newcomer Daphne's not the only troublemaker.
"People you thought were all good, you're going to see some bad in them,” said actor Sendhil Ramamurthy.
"And people who you thought were all bad, you're going to see some good in them." said Ramamurthy.
Which means the heroes' world turns upside down.
"Sylar isn't the worst of our fears. There's always going to be someone meaner," said actress Hayden Panetierre.
And it could be someone viewers have grown to love.
"I don't trust anyone. Not the crew. Not the makeup girl. Where's my wallet?" ask actor Greg Grunberg
Even the show's creator warns against guessing what will happen.
"We always figure out a way to pull the run out from under people," said Tim Kring.
"Heroes" starts at 8pm eastern Monday with an hour long countdown show leading up to the two hour season premiere at 9pm eastern.
