Fans of "Harry Potter" still have a few weeks to wait before his next movie adventure.
But there'll be some wizardry of a different sort on NBC this Sunday night.
It's back to the beginning for the legend of "Merlin" about the magician's early days in Camelot.
"He's very much a country boy who ends up coming to this great city," said series star Colin Morgan, who plays the young wizard, "And finds out he can't use his one gift, magic."
That's because when it comes to scorcery Camelot's king is not a fan. Which means trouble for the young wizard.
"Merlin without the beard is not the experienced wizard and warlock everyone knows," Morgan said. "He's a bit of a loose cannon."
A cannon that misfires when he meets the king's son, Arthur, for the first time.
"They get off on completely the wrong foot," said Bradley James, who plays Arthur. "And they find themselves having a strong dislike for each other."
But Merlin learns his fate is intertwined with the future king.
That sets the stage for a weekly adventure in a far away place and time.
"You've got horses, knights, and swords and princesses and everything!" according to series co-star Katie McGrath, who plays Morgana.
There's also a little magic.
"He's going to be a lot more energetic than the old bearded Merlin," said Morgan.
Now he'll try to cast a spell on audiences.
