At 89 years old, a Bonita Springs, Florida woman is about to get her big break!
Viola Witt has been invited to impress actor Ed Asner with her skills on the accordion on Thursday's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Now, you've heard of the House of Blues.
But at Witt's home, it's the house of polka.
She has played the accordion for 82 years.
"She knows like 300 songs!" says her son, Rick Witt.
She will play for about 30 seconds in front of Jay Leno and millions of viewers..
"No big deal, I can play anywhere," proclaims Witt.
Her son acted as her agent, and pitched her skills to the show.
Tonight, she'll impress Ed Asner with a Prince song.
"I said, 'I can teach that to mom, if you can teach Prince how to play a polka!" proclaims Rick.
"I have to be careful with Jay because he wants 30 seconds. That's a half a minute and I'm so used to playing the way i want to play" says Viola.
She's used to doing a lot of things her way, including skipping Jay's show.
Witt says she rarely stays awake past 9 o'clock at night.
But late Thursday night, this 89 year old's dream will come true.
