"Tribute to the Stars,” a show featuring celebrity impersonators, will donate $5 of every ticket to the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island from this Friday’s 8 p.m. show at the Westin on Hilton Head Island.

Impersonators will sing, dress and act like famous entertainers such as Prince, Elvis Presley, Reba McEntire, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson. Lady Chablis, an entertainer who regularly performs in Savannah, and a featured character in the 2007 movie, “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil,” is scheduled to make an appearance at the performance.  Target, a local band, will play before and after the performance.  Kevin Pinckney, the show’s organizer, said some of his cast previously worked in Las Vegas.

Joyce Wright, the unit director of the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island, said the money raised will assist the scholarship fund so the club can underwrite the summer fees for some students who would not be able to attend the club due to finances.

Pinckney, a former Hilton Head High School graduate, said, “It is our pleasure to make our debut on Hilton Head Island while supporting some of the best programs for the youth in our area through the Boys & Girls Club.”

The July 30th show is the third time “The Tribute to the Stars” will perform at the Westin Resort Grand BallroomPinckney said the show is scheduled to perform in Savannah next.  Tickets are $30. They can be bought at the door or in advance at Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island or the Sunshine Nursery in Bluffton.  For more information, call Kevin Pinckney at 227-9079.
