Make Wellness a Family Affair

Eating dinner together as a family can have many health benefits.  Family dinners can be a comforting ritual for parents and children. Kids who eat dinner with their family on a regular basis are more likely to eat more nutritious meals featuring fruits, vegetables and grains -- and are less likely to snack on unhealthy foods. These children are also less likely to smoke, use marijuana or drink alcohol. 

 

So no matter how busy your family's schedule may get, take time to slow down and have dinner together when you can.  Consider it an investment in your family's good health!
