There's something about competition, and when it comes to improving health and wellness, some Savannah families are in it to win it! And win it they did.
The results are in, and Savannah has won the health challenge against rival Albany. Mayor Otis Johnson teamed with the families today to celebrate their success.
The participants feel good about their achievements.
Corey Phillips says, "During the challenge I lost a total of 78 pounds in a12 week process. So I continued to loose weight. I've lost another 28pounds since the challenge has been over."
20 families from each city were teamed with trainers and given free health club memberships and valuable advice to help them improve their health.
WSAV is a proud supporter of this important initiative.
