Spike For Life

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Thinking pink was the name of the game tonight as rivals came together to volley for a cure.

Wearing pink shirts with spike for life on the back, Saint Vincent's girl's volleyball team invited Hilton Head and Savannah Christian for a benefit game to support the fight against breast cancer.   They picked this because they know there's so much more to life than volleyball, and many know someone who's been touched by breast cancer.  "We support a lot of causes and we thought Breast Cancer Awareness is a great time to support that cause since we are an all girls school.  And also we wanted to showcase what our school does," says Coach Amy Friess.

Before tonight St. Vincent's Volleyball Team sold bracelets and had a bake sale.

Money from those events and tonight's game will go to breast cancer research and education.
