(Savannah) 6 month breast cancer survivor Caroline Hester loves working with children and strengthening their minds. The mother and paraprofessional who grew up on Isle of Hope is in the midst of a tough journey. "I had done a self examination and there was a lump, a small lump under my arm," says Caroline. She takes us back to the day she began the fight of her life. "I was informed here at school during lunch hour and was rather overwhelmed." Months after losing her hair, this fighter is not keeping her feelings bottled up. "I put my hat on today so my hair won't get wet and frizz." "She's a testament of faith to the children. She knows perfectly well that this is going to work out fine," says Paula Swann. "Everybody's ready to pitch in and do whatever we can to help her. Whether it’s meals that we take to her in the evening or just spending some time with her in her home," says Helen Willoughby. She's embraced the battle with her faith. "I do count on God a lot and take today for the gift he's given us and just think that hurdle, he'll take my hand and we'll jump over it."
