Friends and family are remembering Charlton Heston, who died last night at his home in Beverly Hills. He won the “Best Actor” Oscar for his role in "Ben-Hur."
Heston also played Moses in "The Ten Commandments" and Colonel George Taylor in "Planet of the Apes."
In 2003, President Bush awarded him the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Heston was 84 years old.
