After five years of delays and stalled plans, Savannah city leaders say they are ready to transform the Forsyth Park Fort into a cafe and visitors center.
City Council broke ground on this project 5 years ago, but the World War I training facility hasn't been touched.
They now plan to spend $4.5 million to transform the old concrete building. Work is expected to begin in just a few months and should be done before St. Patrick’s Day next year.
