A half million dollars of your tax money is going to help deal with some unforeseen expenses at the Ellis Square project.
The total cost of the garage is around $29.5 million, but there were some extra unforeseen costs that came up during construction. Those include sinkholes in a nearby lane, some extra waterproofing and some new parking control equipment.
The garage is slated to be finished in late June or July.
