A Liberty County car crash leaves one person dead and two others hurt. It happened last night, shortly before ten, on Leroy Coffer Road.
The Georgia State Patrol tells us 38-year-old Tommy Moore of Rincon was driving his vehicle westbound in the eastbound lane – crashing head on into another vehicle. The passenger in that car, 23-year-old Sean Bennett of Hinesville, died at the scene. His brother, Rodney Sanks, and Moore were transported to Memorial Health.
Troopers tell us Moore faces several charges, including homicide by vehicle in the first degree and possession of a controlled substance.
