It was a monumental day at one Savannah Catholic Church today.
Bishop J. Kevin Boland installed and presented new St. Benedict the Moor pastor Christian Alimajai. He's from Nigeria but has lived in the United States since 2006.
St. Benedict is the oldest African American Catholic Church past the Mason Dixon line. It's the mother church for African American Catholics in the Doicese of Savannah.
