Dorchester County officials have released the names of two boys who died after being found in a water-filled hole at a construction site in Summerville where a house was being built.
Coroner Chris Nisbet says 4-year-old Brian Jose Villtoro Garduno and 3-year-old Kevin Jesus Villtoro Garduno of North Charleston were pronounced dead late Saturday at Summerville Medical Center.
Nisbet said Sunday night he's awaiting autopsies to determine the exact cause of death.
Sheriff's 1st Sgt. Mike Miller says the nearly 6-foot deep hole was about 100 feet behind the house. Miller says he doesn't know if the boys were swimming or fell into the hole.
Nisbet says he thinks the boy's mother was at the house with the youngsters while her boyfriend was working on the home.
