Brett Favre's journey from the ranks of a retired NFL star quarterback have landed him in New York with the Jets. Favre arrived in Cleveland, Ohio, last night just in time to watch his future teammates take on the Cleveland Browns in their first pre-season game. Late Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers traded Favre to the Jets, ending a back and forth month of indecision over Favre's future. Favre will at least keep his number. He'll wear number four in New York.
The mayor of Detroit spent the night in jail for violating terms of his bond on perjury and other charges. Kwame Kilpatrick was arrested by Wayne County sheriff's officers yesterday, taken to jail, photographed and issued a green jail jumpsuit. A judge revoked Kilpatrick's bond and issued the arrest warrant after her found out the mayor had gone to Canada without informing the court. Before heading to jail, Kilpatrick apologized to the court and told the judge it would not happen again. But the judge said he would have done the same to any criminal defendant.
