Authorities in Texas say at least 13 people are dead and two dozen injured after a charter bus carrying Vietnamese worshippers on a pilgrimage plunged off a highwayoverpass north of Dallas. Officials are investigating the wreckage and say they can't rule out anything, but the bus may have blown a tire. It went skidding across a guard rail along U.S. 75 in Sherman, Texas, early this morning before falling 15 feet onto a roadway below. It's unclear if weather might have played a role. The National Weather Service says there had been light rain in the area. Fifty people were on board the charter, traveling from Houston to a religious festival in Missouri. KHOU-TV quotes a church official as saying many of those on the bus were from the Vietnamese Martyrs Church of Houston.
