»  Comments | Post a Comment

He has been SCMPD’s Most Wanted since the summer, but today, Achmed Kiwaan WILLIAMS is in police custody.  Tuesday afternoon, the 23-year-old, accused of killing his brother back on April 6, was arrested by Violent Crimes Detectives. Police received a tip that he was hiding out in a home in the 600 block of Yamacraw.

On April 6, 2008, police were called to an address in the 1200 block of East 54th Street. Eighteen year-old Alex Williams was found suffering from a single gunshot wound. He died of his injury at Memorial Health University Medical Center a short time later. SCMPD later arrested Achmed on an outstanding parole violation, believing he was a person of interest in the case, but he was released before the murder warrant was issued.

Metro Detectives had been in contact with America’s Most Wanted in relation to the case, fully believing Williams was still in the Savannah area.
