Jennifer Morillo, Lady’s Island Middle School Assistant Principal, has been named the South Carolina Middle School Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
Mrs. Morillo joined the Lady’s Island Middle School team as Assistant Principal in 2004 having previously taught at H. E. McCracken Middle School in Bluffton and schools in upstate South Carolina. She was nominated for the award by LIMS Principal Terry Bennett.
According to Mr. Bennett, “Mrs. Morillo has dedicated her career to children and to the programs, adults, and resources that will serve them best. She is a master administrator, creating a school climate that is supportive of all therein. Jennifer has a passion for her job, a passion for Lady’s Island Middle School, a passion for our teachers, and a passion for our students.”
Mrs. Morillo and her husband, Fred, and their two children, Zackery and Kaela, are residents of Bluffton. Mrs. Morillo completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and her Master’s Degree in Education from Charleston Southern University.
