Most people are making an effort to be more environmentally aware.
Take a look around your washroom and your bathroom.
That's where most of us are the least green.
"One of the easiest things you can do is when you're brushing your teeth, turn the water off while you're actually brushing them," points out interior designer Libby Langdon.
Doing that every morning and night can save you up to eight gallons of water a day, and saving water is green.
Also, think about how much power you use when you do your laundry.
"Wait until you have a full load of laundry," said Langdon. "Don't just throw in a pair of jeans and wash them. Use cold water, not hot water. That's gonna save you a lot of money on the electricity, water, heating the water takes a lot of electricity also."
Another green tip: when the clothes are clean, air dry them if you can, but when you do use your clothes dryer, clean the lint filter often.
For clothes that aren't washable, look for a green dry cleaner, which use a silicone based non toxic environmentally safe cleaning solvent.
