Kids Helping Kids

This is the 27th year for the "Kids Helping Kids" Christmas toy collection project.

The children of Chatham County have expressed their generosity by bringing their used toys to school so that needy children can have a happier holiday. Students in public and private schools are collecting toys in support of this year's effort.

Over the past 25 years it is estimated that more than 285,000 toys have been donated.

If your child's school is not participating, or if you no longer have children in school and would like to donate toys, this year's business partners are all area Piggly Wiggly stores, and select Cricket Wireless affiliates in Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Hinesville and Jesup.

Please drop off toys to these locations by December 18th. Beginning at 9:00 AM on December 20th, the toys will be distributed to needy families at the West Broad Street YMCA located at 1110 May street.

Contact Deborah Enoch at the YMCA, 233-1951. Tom Campbell, Chairman of "Kids Helping Kids", can be reached during the day at 660-8364 and in the evenings at 925-8364.
