FORT STEWART, Ga. - The Department of Defense announced Friday the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Joshua R. Anderson, 24, of Jordan, Minn., died Jan. 2 in Kamasia, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. Anderson was a combat medic. He joined the Army in March 2006 and arrived at Fort Stewart in Oct. 2006.
