As Republicans draw a line in the sand in South Carolina, Senator John McCain spelled out just how important a win here will be.
"Nobody has ever lost this state and gained nomination," said Republican Presidential Candidate Senator John McCain.
But McCain isn't the only one predicting victory
"We are planning on winning South Carolina," said Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee.
Mike Huckabee is reaching out to Christian conservatives, a group that could make up 60% of the vote here.
For Fred Thompson, a loss could make South Carolina his last stand.
Rudy Giuliani is for now, out of the fray, still counting on Florida for his first win.
Meantime, Mitt Romney is hoping South Carolina makes it two in a row.
"I've got first or second in all of the first four states so I'm feeling pretty good about it," said Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.
Nevada’s primary is also drawing attention of Democrats.
"A lot of energy and momentum in my campaign here in Reno," said Democrat Presidential Candidate John Edwards
They fanned out across that state, for now, keeping the kinder tone set by Tuesday’s debate.
"We will have common ground I will wake up every morning in the White House thinking about how to make your lives a little bit better," said Democrat Presidential Candidate Senator Barack Obama.
Even having a little fun.
"Once again, thank you for joining us on Hill Force One. We know you have choices when you fly," said Democrat Presidential Candidate Senator Hillary Clinton.
Candidates on both sides, however, will likely remain frequent fliers.
With no clear winners and more than twenty primaries in the next three weeks, the candidates may need to go the distance to stay ahead in the race.
