Operation Clean Sweep targets Thomas Square this week

Operation Clean Sweep will be in the Thomas Square Neighborhood from Tuesday, July 1, through Thursday, July 3, 2008. Residents are asked to bring their questions, concerns and comments to the command center, located in the 2400 block of Habersham Street in the parking lot between Habersham Antiques Collectibles & the Wassaw Sound Seafood.

Operation Clean Sweep crews will be cutting overgrown lots, towing derelict vehicles, picking up bulk items, providing free blood pressure checks, home fire safety checks and smoke detectors and securing unsafe properties. Operation Clean Sweep is a city-wide effort to clean up Savannah’s neighborhoods.
