A five-month study reveals that a lot of the prescription pills Americans are popping-- may wind up in our water. An investigation by the Associated Press tested water in 24-metropolitan areas-- It found tiny amounts of medication-- including antibiotics, mood stabilizers, and sex hormones.
The concentrations are so small, they're measured in parts per billion or trillion.. and that's far below medical doses.
Utilities insist the water is safe, but some scientists worry about the effect of long-term exposure.
