Appling County Authorities are searching for suspects after discovering hundreds of marijuana plants.
A Georgia State Patrol helicopter pilot spotted the plants Tuesday in a wooded area off Piney Grove Church Road. Authorities have since destroyed all 933 plants.
DEA agents are now processing other evidence such as pots, buckets and fertilizer. Police tell us if the plants had grown to full potential – the street value would have been one point eight million dollars. No arrests have been made at this time.
