It appears the vote was too close to call for one of Georgia's U.S. Senate seats. Both incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss and his Democratic challenger Jim Martin are prepared for a runoff on December 2.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss, (R-GA): "Our position is that we’re in a runoff... that's the official status as of right now but that could change"
Democrat Jim Martin: "We're going to win on December 2nd because this race is going to be about helping president-elect Barack Obama gets our economy back on track".
