Savannah police have arrested two men in connection to a murder they have been investigating since October.
17-year old Javante Harris-Evans has been charged with murder for the killing of Savar Morell Reid. Christopher Jesse Lema has been charged with Tampering with Evidence and providing false statements in the connection to the investigation.
Savar Morell Reid's body was found on the street near Gamble Road and ACL Boulevard in the early morning hours of October 26. Detectives have been following strong leads since the incident, and were looking for the green Dodge Ram Quad Cab that the victim was last seen in before his murder. Police located the truck last night and now have it in Forensics for processing.
