The man who casually got a pedicure before robbing Savannah Nails on October 20 will be soaking his feet in jail this weekend. Metro Police Robbery detectives arrested 34–year-old Tracy Mendoza Gadson, of Savannah on four counts of Armed Robbery and four counts of False Imprisonment in connection with several local Southside businesses that were robbed at gunpoint during the month of October.
In October, police noticed a trend among several Savannah Southside businesses that were robbed at gunpoint. During the investigation, police released a video of the bandit and believed he was soley responsible for four different robberies. In each of these incidents, the male suspect entered the store, looked around before approaching the clerk and demanded money at gun point. Before leaving, the suspect escorted all victims to the back of the business where he made them stay in a back room as he was leaving. No victims were injured in any of the cases.
The incidents included the armed robbery of Video Bob’s on October 12 – where he robbed both the store and a patron, Sunset Novelties on October 17 and Savannah Nails on October 20 – where he robbed a patron before escaping.
Gadson was arrested on Saturday November 22, 2008 by the Savannah Probation Office for a Probation Violation. Robbery detectives charged Gadson this afternoon with the robberies. He is expected to be arraigned on Friday.
