CUTHBERT, Ga. (AP) - Authorities from multiple agencies have joined the search for a suspect who shot two officers with the Cuthbert Police Department.
Investigators say Willie Tells Jr. shot officers James Mock and Sammy Coleman late Saturday night. They sustained head injuries but are in good condition.
The officers were attempting to make a traffic stop when Tells got out of the car and opened fire on them.
A Cuthbert police dispatcher said the suspect was still at large Sunday afternoon.
