Thanks to viewer tips, Effingham County Sheriff’s investigators have arrested a suspect who stole several items including patio furniture last week from businesses at Old Town Plaza south of Rincon last week.
Video surveillance showed Tina St. George, 46, of Rincon, pull into the strip mall and load her vehicle up with chairs, tables, and plants. St. George has been arrested and charged with theft by taking.
A search of her residence revealed she had used the stolen items to decorate her patio and bedroom.
St. George is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.
