FORT STEWART, Ga. (AP) - Testimony has resumed for a second day in the military hearing for a Fort Stewart sergeant charged with killing two U.S. soldiers in his unit at a patrol base in Iraq.
Army Sgt. Joseph Bozicevich (BAH-seh-vich) of Minneapolis is accused of fatally shooting a superior and a fellow team leader in his unit Sept. 14 as they gave him disciplinary counseling for poor performance.
Witnesses are continuing to testify Tuesday. They are giving accounts of how they say they saw Bozicevich gun down Staff Sgt. Darris Dawson of Pensacola, Fla., and Sgt. Wesley Durbin of Dallas when the two told the 39-year-old Bozicevich he was being pulled off patrol duty for leaving a soldier behind during a foot patrol.
The Article 32 hearing will determine if Bozicevich's case goes to a court-martial.
