We are happy to report Fred Williams Homebuilder Inc. has agreed to sit down with the Better Business Bureau to discuss a possible solution to slab leaks in some of the homes he built.

A News Three follow up tonight.
Alfreda Goldwire contacted News Three after her son's home, which she was watching, flooded.
Goldwire says she received a call from a neighbor who said water was pouring out of the home.
When she arrived, this is what she found... but as it turns out, this is not the first time it's happened to her son's home or many others in his neighborhood.
Many of the homes, which were built by Fred Williams, seem to have issues with pipes in the slab leaking.
When we contacted Mr. Williams he stated homeowners should have insurance.
After Alfreda's story aired we were inundated with calls and emails from homeowners experiencing the same problem.
So noticing a trend, I contacted the Better Business Bureau for guidance.
A meeting was set up and people living in various Fred Williams developments attended.
One woman I spoke with had already spent as much as 15 thousand dollars on repairs from slab leaks.
"I went to Fred Williams to get some resolution. He basically didn't care, told me it was my problem," explained Carol Sanders.
I met with the Better Business Bureau earlier today to see what progress was being made. They say in just a week’s time they've received twenty complaints about slab leaks.
"Very clearly, when you have 20 complaints come in, and all of them basically are describing almost an identical situation, then there is obviously a problem that needs to be addressed. Of course there are also other things that can be considered... is it the builder, is it actually the construction company, is it a problem that we haven't been able to foresee at this point?" points out Ross Howard of the Better Business Bureau.
We are happy to report Fred Williams Homebuilder Inc. has agreed to sit down with the Better Business Bureau to discuss a possible solution.
We have no idea when that meeting will take place, but of course we will let you know when it does.
In the meantime, complaints can still be filed. You can fill out a form online at www.savannah.BBB.org or drop one off at the Better Business Bureau at 6606 Abercorn Street, Suite 108C, in Savannah
