Local Blood Supply Still Critically Low on O-Negative Blood!
The Blood Alliance reports less than a one-day supply of O-Negative blood available for patient needs! In addition, we are very low on several other blood types! Contributing to this shortage is both an increase in local usage and a decrease in donations in recent weeks.
Our blood supply is at critically low levels! We encourage members of our community to help by donating blood at one of our area blood donation centers or mobile blood drives.
The Blood Alliance has two donor centers conveniently located in the Savannah area:
• Memorial Health University Medical Center located at 4700 Waters Avenue.
• 7135 Hodgson Memorial Drive in Market Walk.
