Today friends and family laid Gerald Boykin to rest.
Boykin known as "Bubba" to his friends was the Port Wentworth Volunteer Fire Chief for 25 years. A member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth and a Veteran of the US Air Force he passed away Friday night surrounded by family.
He was 78 years old.
