BRUNSWICK, Ga.- Glynn County Police say all of the victims from Saturday's multiple homicides at New Hope Plantation have been tentatively identified. (Watch: Multiple Homicides Reported in Glynn County)

But Chief Matt Doering said Sunday they are awaiting autopsies results for positive identification. Doering said the victims ranged in age from young child to middle aged adult.

Autopsies on the 7 bodies began at 7:30 am Sunday at the GBI Crime Lab in Savannah. Glynn County coroner Jimmy Durden said the bodies appeared to have been there overnight. Durden said they were found in beds and on the floor of the home. He said they hoped to finish the autopsies Monday, but he said they wanted to be sure everything is done correctly.

Police said a family member called 911 Saturday morning around 8:00. Inside one of the mobile homes officers found seven people dead and two critically injured.

Doering said the two injured people are still in critical condition at a Savannah hospital. He said family members and investigators are with the victims but said the injured people are not in any condition to be able to talk to investigators.

Police still have not released information on how the seven people died. Doering said they have made progress in the investigation, and they have narrowed down the timeline to a six to eight hour period.

Authorities said the family member who called 911, Guy Heinze, Jr., 22, has been arrested for tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and obstructing an officer. Doering said police have evidence Heinze lied to police. Police said he is cooperating with police and he is not a suspect at this time.

Investigators and emergency management personnel searched a two-mile area around the crime scene for evidence Sunday. Doering said that was standard procedure to ensure they had not missed anything. He said Sunday afternoon that nothing had been found.

Doering said it was still unclear if a suspect is still at large, as they have not identified any suspects. He said he was confident none of the nine victims committed the crime. He did say police are looking for at least one individual who may have been present at the time of the assault.

"There is somebody out there we're looking for, we just don't know who that person is, and I can't tell you if it's a single individual or more, but it was at least one. There's no question in our minds that the person that was involved was not 1 of the victims," he said.

Doering said police had been called to the mobile home before but would not specify why.

Meanwhile the community is still in shock. Steve Stewart said he was flabbergasted when he heard what happened. He said he lived in New Hope just three years ago.

"When I lived there it was, it was an interesting hodgepodge of people that lived there, so, it doesn't surprise me at all," said Stewart.

"Everyone needs to be cautious including you all. I would not rule out anything right now. I wish I could say differently but I would be misleading you and the public if I were to say different," Doering said.

Durden said in his 17 years in Glynn County, he has never seen a crime scene of this magnitude.
