447,000 Child Carriers Recalled by the CPSC for faulty handles.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for 447,000 baby seat carriers.
According to the CPSC when used as an infant carrier, the child restraint handle to the seat can loosen and come off, causing a fall hazard to an infant.
The recall involves carriers manufactured by Dorel, and carrying logos form Safety 1st, COSCO, Eddie Bauer and Disney, and sold between January 6, 2008 and April 6, 2009.
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the handle on the carrier until a repair kit has been installed.
Consumers can find more information about the repair kit on the web at www.djgusa.com/safety_notice
