GIFFORD, S.C. -- Authorities said a Saturday night shooting left one man dead and one person injured.
The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at 2949 Risher Street in Gifford around 7:00 p.m.
Authorities arrived to find Julius Gardner, 17, lying on the front porch with a fatal gunshot wound to the stomach.
Deputies also said Shaqille Campbell, 15, was also shot. He was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina. There's no word on his condition.
Investigators identified the shooter as Andretti A. Williams, 27, who lives at the home. Authorities said Williams is being held and charges will be filed against him.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Town of Gifford Police are assisting in the investigation.
