SCREVEN COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities said a suspect in an early morning shooting is now in custody.
Screven County deputies responded to a home on Buttermilk Road for a domestic dispute 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. When they got there, deputies say they heard a woman screaming in the woods near the home, and then a gunshot.
The homeowner is identified as Herman Adamson. Deputies are still looking for the woman heard screaming.
Police say Adamson has previous arrests for violence and weapons possession.
