STATESBORO, Ga. -- Police said a 17 year-old has been charged with the murder of a woman in Statesboro.
Brandie Danielle Davis, 19, was found dead December 8 in a Campus Crossing apartment near Georgia Southern University. Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch said the cause of death was strangulation.
On Tuesday, Statesboro Police said Daryl Anthony Priestley, 17, was arrested in connection with the crime. Police said Priestley has an address in Statesboro but is originally from McDonough. Statesboro Police said Priestley is in custody of Henry County authorities and is awaiting transport to Bulloch County.
Police said no further details are being released at this time.
