Savannah Fire and Kmart Donate Bikes to Greenbriar

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Kmart and Savannah Fire are making Christmas morning brighter for some kids at Greenbriar.
They are not giving just any Christmas present, they're giving bikes.
Savannah Fire Chief Charles Middleton gave the bikes to Greenbriar Children’s Center this morning.
Greenbriar is a facility that cares for kids who are waiting to be placed in foster families.
The bikes were all donated by Kmart.
“It’s something we should do. We've given toys at other events, parades and the like and this year we felt Greenbriar was special,” says Savannah Fire Chief Charles Middleton.
“If only you all could witness their eyes on Christmas morning. When they open those presents you will know what these contributions actually mean to them,” says Gena Taylor of Greenbriar.
In addition to the bikes, Chief Middleton says the fire department also collected a ton of toys for the children at Greenbriar.
