More Recalls Associated with Peanut Butter

Here are the latest recalls:

Blanton's Candies of Sweetwater, TN is recalling approximately 195 pounds of Blanton's Peanut Brittle and Blanton's Sugar Free Peanut brittle packaged in 4 and 8 oz ounce cellophane bags, because the peanuts in the candy were supplied by the Peanut Corporation of America and it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella

Following notification from its manufacturer, Giant Food has recalled two Simply Enjoy Candy items. The items were removed from store shelves because each product contains peanuts supplied by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) and have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

Balance Bar Company announced today a voluntary recall of one flavor of Balance Nutrition Energy Bars: Honey Peanut. The company said it has no reason to believe there is a safety issue with this product. Rather, it is taking the action, as a precaution, because an external manufacturer sourced peanuts from the Plainview, Texas plant of Peanut Corporation of America.

Melaleuca, Inc., of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has issued a voluntary recall of select lots of Attain Nutrition Bars Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor, proflex15 Protein Bars Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor, and proflex20 Protein Bars Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor in response to an expanded recall by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).

Complete Life Potential of Poulsbo, WA is initiating a voluntary recall of Caveman Peanut and Sea Salt Bars and Salted Corn and Peanut Bars because they contain peanuts included within the expanded recall by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) and may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Dr. Melina Inc., based in San Francisco, is recalling its Chocolate Peanut flavor Protein Bars, because it has determined that the peanut pieces and/or halves used originated in Peanut Corporation of America's Blakely, Georgia, processing plant.
