Members and friends of a Savannah church have a lot of reason to celebrate. Sunday marked the official opening of the community center at West Broad Seventh Day Adventist Church.
What makes this especially joyous is the building,-that way burned a few years ago, is again back in business, so to speak. Leaders of the center area ready to serve Savannah neighbors in need.
"We have a lot that will be coming to the community as far as mentoring programs for our young people and hopefully we can add some positive input to the community,” said Patricia Lonnon, Director of the center.
The center will also be home to a soup kitchen, too. It's located on the corner of Martin Luther King Blvd and 41st Street.
